Edmund's Oast Brewing Co. & Taproom

Edmund's Oast Brewing Co. & Taproom is the production brewery and taproom side of the Edmund's Oast family, located on upper King Street in downtown Charleston. It opened in late summer 2017 distinct from the older Edmund's Original restaurant on nearby Morrison Drive. This is the brewery where the company's packaged beer is produced and distributed.

The taproom pours a deep house lineup of 20-plus beers, ranging from hop-forward IPAs to creative sours, stouts, and rotating seasonals, alongside wine and cocktails for non-beer drinkers. It consistently ranks among the highest-rated breweries in Charleston.

Unlike a bare-bones tasting room, this is a full taproom with an in-house kitchen. You'll find wood-fired pizza, shareable plates, sandwiches, and salads, plus a Sunday brunch, making it as much a place to eat as to drink.

The space is family-friendly and includes outdoor seating, and a weekday Hoppy Hour offers discounts on drafts. As part of the upper-peninsula brewery cluster, it sits within easy reach of other taprooms along King Street, Morrison Drive, and Meeting Street Road, making it a natural anchor for a downtown Charleston brewery crawl.
