Breweries in Goose Creek, SC
1 brewery in Goose Creek
Goose Creek is the largest city in Berkeley County, a suburban community north of Charleston along U.S. 52 and Interstate 26 that is home to a large share of the region's Navy and industrial workforce. For years its residents drove to North Charleston for craft beer. That changed in 2023 when Stones Throw Brewing opened in the middle of town, giving Goose Creek a brewery of its own.
Stones Throw Brewing is housed in a repurposed former fire station on Button Hall Avenue, and the building still reads as one. Inside is a full-service kitchen open daily with burgers, wings, and salads, a full bar alongside more than 20 house-brewed taps, and an outdoor area for warmer evenings. It runs later than most Charleston taprooms, with Saturday hours stretching past midnight, and it doubles as a neighborhood tavern as much as a brewery. Kids are welcome; dogs are not. A dedicated parking lot makes it an easy stop.
Because it is the only brewery in Goose Creek, most visitors either come for Stones Throw on its own or fold it into a North Charleston afternoon. The breweries along Dorchester Road and West Montague Avenue, including Tideland, Rusty Bull, and Snafu, are the closest, and the Park Circle cluster is a little farther south. Summerville, to the west, does not currently have an open brewery listed here.
