Charles Towne Fermentory - The Garden

The Garden is Charles Towne Fermentory's second West Ashley location, on Ashley River Road, and it opened in 2022 with a grand-opening party that May. Unlike the original Avondale taproom, this site is built around an outdoor beer garden rather than an indoor bar.

The compound includes a large landscaped yard with a covered deck added out back, so there's shelter when the sun or rain calls for it while keeping the experience mostly open-air. It's a relaxed, garden-style setting designed for lingering with a beer.

Food comes from rotating food trucks rather than an in-house kitchen, and the calendar regularly features live music and special events. You'll find the same Charles Towne Fermentory craft beers here, along with cider, in an environment built for groups and gatherings.

The Garden is dog-friendly and welcomes kids in its outdoor spaces, making it one of the more family, and pet-oriented stops along the Ashley River Road stretch of West Ashley. It rounds out the brand's pair of taprooms on this side of the river.
