Stones Throw Brewing

Up in Goose Creek, Stones Throw Brewing serves its Berkeley County neighbors on Button Hall Avenue. The brewpub occupies a repurposed former Goose Creek fire station, a building that previously housed Wide Awake Brewing before that operation closed in 2022. Stones Throw opened here in 2023 and bills itself as the first locally owned brewery in Goose Creek.

The brewhouse turns out a deep tap list, with 20 or more beers brewed on-site spanning IPAs, lagers, ambers, and porters. Alongside the house beer, the space includes a wine and liquor bar, so there's something for groups with mixed preferences.

Unlike many area taprooms that rely on food trucks, Stones Throw runs a full-service sit-down kitchen daily, serving burgers, wings, salads, and other pub fare. That, combined with a spacious taproom and a family-friendly atmosphere, makes it function as a neighborhood restaurant as much as a brewery.
