Hobcaw Brewing Company

Hobcaw Brewing Company is a small-batch brewery on Long Point Road in Mt Pleasant, a community-minded taproom that opened in 2020 and has quickly become a local favorite. Working from a compact brewing system, the team turns out fresh, coastal-inspired ales and lagers, with new releases dropping every Wednesday that keep the tap list changing week to week.

The rotating lineup spans hazy IPAs, crisp lagers, seasonal brews, and specialty pours, and Hobcaw has drawn recognition well beyond Mount Pleasant as a Great American Beer Festival medal winner. Regulars also point to its barrel-aged offerings, including a bourbon-barrel barleywine, and to sours that frequently earn high marks.

The space is built for hanging around with several event areas, plenty of TVs for game day, and brewery games scattered throughout. During football season the taproom shows Sunday games, and indoor and outdoor seating give groups room to spread out.
