Commonhouse Aleworks

Commonhouse Aleworks is a Park Circle production brewery and taphouse in North Charleston, built on the idea of being a welcoming common ground where people from all walks of life can gather over a pint. That community focus is baked into the business as a self-described "brewery for good," with a portion of every beer sold directed toward local organizations.

The brewery opened in 2018 and quickly became a neighborhood fixture in walkable Park Circle, off the O'Hear Avenue corridor near Montague. Its beer lineup is led by the Park Circle Pale Ale, its top seller and a nod to the surrounding district, alongside the Looking East West Coast-style IPA and a rotating range of styles on tap.

Food comes from a strong on-site partner: Swig & Swine, the respected Lowcountry barbecue brand, operates a full kitchen inside Commonhouse, serving smoked meats and classic sides to pair with the beer. The combination makes it an easy spot to settle in for a full meal rather than a quick pour.

The space pairs a large indoor taproom with an expansive outdoor beer garden, giving families room to spread out, and the kid-friendly, patio-equipped layout fits the relaxed Park Circle vibe.
