New Realm Brewing Co. - Charleston

On Daniel Island, New Realm Brewing Co. anchors a large taproom and restaurant on Island Park Drive. This is the Charleston outpost of New Realm, a multi-state operation founded in 2016 with its flagship in Atlanta and additional locations across Georgia and Virginia. The Daniel Island spot opened in 2021 as the brand's South Carolina home.

The large open layout brings together the brewery, a full restaurant, an outdoor patio, and event space. Brewmaster Mitch Steele, a co-founder who came to New Realm after a long run at Stone Brewing, is widely recognized in the craft world, and the taproom leans on his IPAs and pilsners alongside a rotating set of house-brewed, small-batch styles.

The kitchen is a scratch operation built around a wood-fired focus, turning out hand-stretched pizzas, Wagyu smash burgers, wings, and fresh fish using locally sourced ingredients where possible. With the large footprint and full menu, it works as much as a sit-down dinner destination as a place to drink.

You'll find outdoor seating and a family-friendly setup, which makes it one of the more accommodating stops in this part of the Lowcountry.
